    Enter Apnea

    The Abattis Sovereign Empire spans the surface of Upworld. Wild magic tamed with industrial might. Beneath the surface, an urban sprawl named “Apnea” burrows deep underground. Pipes and cables entangle the denizens of Apnea inside a political powder keg, lured in with empty promises of wealth and opportunity.

    Collect magical “Hedrons” to use in combat. Inspired by tabletop RPGs, combat damage is controlled by the dice assigned to an attack. Hedrons come in a wide variety of looks and special combat effects.

    Engage in turn based combat where pulling off risky actions, protecting your friends, and crushing the enemy builds romantic interest. Play your dice right, and you may get a date out of it… If you survive!

    A novel combat system where region control replaces conventional strategy grids. Capture zones to unlock unique character passive abilities. Objective-based strategy adds complexity to every encounter.

    Chat it up

    Interact with a wide cast of dateable fantasy punks through linear visual-novel style gameplay. Unfold the mystery around a nefarious corporate scheme where mad science meets dark magic while recruiting aimless rebels to the revolutionary cause.

Heartstringer: Punk Tactics is Dan’s pet project being made flesh-and-blood by a loose collective of talented contributors including our master storyteller Siva Kambhampati, animators Caleb Mills and Cassie Toader, and Concept Artists Jean Walter, Karlos Bustillo and Isidro.
